Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Nanna Koerstz Madsen after her third round here at the LPGA Drive On Championship. Really good round today. What were some of the highlights out there?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: I had some good stretch with a couple birdies in a row, so those were the highlights.
My driver was definitely not my highlight. I hit a lot of good approach shot and good putts out there.
Q. What is the key to being successful out on this course? Is it driving? Putting?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: I guess driving you don't really have to be good because there is a lot of room out here. It does help if you're in the course, I can tell you that.
But I guess if you hit it close you're going to get a lot of good birdie chances, so approach.
Q. What did you learn in the first two rounds this week that helped you out today, especially about the course?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: Keep it in the fairway. It's actually quite an easy course, but if you're not in the fairway then you're going to be punished a lot.
But it's a fair one because it's not really narrow. I like when you're out of position you get punished.
Q. How important was it for you today to take advantage of moving day and how excited are you to see your name near the top heading into tomorrow?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: Well, I'm excited because I haven't seen my name up there in a very long time.
So I'm just really happy though get some rounds in a row under par, and some decent, steady golf.
It's exciting.
Q. Last year was when you won, and that was also at the beginning of the season, what do you do in the off-season to get you prepared for the start of the year every year?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: I think in the beginning you're like, it's okay if it doesn't work out this week because you have plenty of tournaments. So maybe I'm just a little bit more calm in the beginning.
Then, I don't know, in the end you're kind of calm because you want the season to end. I guess I have more practice done before the season and you get in-season, it's hard to get all the practice in that you want.
It gets more tournament mode. So I guess I just been doing some good practice.
Q. And last question: How excited are you for LPGA to be back in the States and sort of getting into the real swing of things?
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: I'm excited. It's a new start for me with new caddie and new management team and everything, so, yeah, I'm just really excited for a new year and I'm really pleased with my team.
