Q. It seemed like you were always in control.

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Yes, I played relatively clean I'd say for most of the day. Had a couple mistakes. The ball didn't go where I wanted on 9 and made a mistake, and yeah, didn't hit a really good tee shot here. But fortunately we both were out of position, so just kind of did enough to win the match.

Q. What do you think has been working really well for you to advance into this stage of the tournament?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Just playing solid. I think you can pick up a bogey pretty easy here, but if you're playing decent golf you can make a run of birdies. As long as you're playing solid and making putts, you can always get back in the match, even if you're down. I think that's what's been helping me a lot.
