Q. First time in this event and you come away with a win against Alex Noren who put you to the test, all the way to 17 here.

TOM KIM: Yeah, I mean, it was definitely an up-and-down match. It wasn't easy. I definitely had some mistakes that I could have fixed, but I played really well today.

And Alex definitely is a fighter and I knew that and I knew it wasn't going to be easy, so I just kind of kept my head down, but very fortunate to walk off with a win today.

Q. You get into the match play format, do you have flashbacks to Charlotte and the great success you had at the Presidents Cup?

TOM KIM: It was definitely a good experience for me. I think it's an event that I've always wanted to play, and definitely with the pressure that I've built up from the Presidents Cup I feel like it's a great experience, and definitely using it this week.
