Quick Quotes
Q. I'm doing a story on past winners, and you're on the leaderboard going into the final round. It's hard enough to win here one time around; does that kind of creep into your mind when you're going into this last round?
RICKIE FOWLER: No, I mean I'm a ways out of it, so tomorrow's going to be a little bit more try and see how quick of a start we can get off to, to put ourselves in a chance where we might be able to give those guys a little bit of a scare.
But, yeah, I'm going to need to shoot a low one to have a chance tomorrow. So we'll really just focus on playing some good golf, and if we end up in a decent position, then so be it.
Q. How much does it do for your confidence the way you kind of finished off today?
RICKIE FOWLER: Definitely nice. I mean I thought I had a good one on 16. Had the wind switch a little bit. So that was a little kick in the butt for the way I wanted to finish.
But, yeah, 17 and 18 getting birdies coming in were nice to kind of get back to where we were, and wish it could have been a little bit more to get ourselves a little bit closer to the guys for tomorrow. Can't go back now, so nice to finish with some good swings.
Q. Feeling more and more comfortable with all the kind of swing changes that you've been making over the last little bit of time?
RICKIE FOWLER: Yeah, I mean, I know what I'm trying to do, and I mean, last couple weeks I haven't felt good at all on course, more mid-irons and up. So just trying to go play and hit shots out there, and I'll worry about working on stuff next week. So, yeah, more just I've been trying to just get it around the last two weeks because places like Bay Hill and here you just got to go play golf; you can't worry about the golf swing out there.
Q. Does that kind of show maybe where the progress has been made, that you even though you said you're not hitting the ball great right now that the scores are somewhat showing?
RICKIE FOWLER: Yeah, no, it's definitely nice to be able to get it around and hang in there, make some putts and still score halfway decent. But yeah, it's just a bummer that I have not felt very good at all the last two weeks with the swing and ball striking. So, you know, that's how it is. You can't pause and go work on stuff and come back. So really trying to fight through and do the best that we can to get the ball in play here, with this being a very much a second-shot golf course.
