Quick Quotes
Q. How would you assess your play so far in this second round?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Pretty solid. I think it was playing pretty challenging when we started out with the high winds and the greens were getting really firm. I did a good job of staying patient. I wasn't swinging my best, but I made two nice birdies toward the end of the round and then obviously the delay will hurt a little, but start back up in the morning.
Q. What did you feel like you're doing best during the tough times with the wind?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I think just staying patient. Just trying to hit as many greens as I could, not being over aggressive. I think this is one of those places that you feel like you can get after sometimes and the minute you start getting over aggressive, especially when the wind is blowing, is when you start piling up the bogeys. So just getting a lot of looks and trying to make a few birdies.
Q. Is that why you and Teddy work so well together is to try to stay patient when you want to be more aggressive?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, especially when you see a guy start in the lead and he's going this way and I'm going this way, it's definitely something that is discussed is to stay patient just keep trying to hit good shots because you can't force it around this place.
Q. Long day tomorrow, how do you prepare mentally and physically?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Well I'm going to go home, once we get done here and then, yeah, just try and get to sleep as early as possible.
