Quick Quotes
Q. How would you assess your play so far in the second round?
COLLIN MORIKAWA: Still hitting my irons really good, which is great. That's exciting for me. Just wasn't finding fairways as much and putts didn't drop. Kind of glad this rain delay and thunder kind of came in and let the putter rest a little bit and hopefully come out hot tomorrow.
Q. What was working so well with the irons?
COLLIN MORIKAWA: Yeah, once again, I'm not telling you the secret. I'm going to stick to what I've been doing, and to know that I've kind of seen it two days now in tournament play, knowing that it's kind of headed the right direction, I think I just get a few of those putts to drop, we could be in the lead, if not have a little lead margin, if we can get those going come early tomorrow.
Q. How difficult were the conditions out there, with the winds up and swirling?
COLLIN MORIKAWA: We got pretty lucky today. I think our wave, there was a few holes where it was definitely swirly and a lot of wind. For the most part, I think we got some good winds compared to the other wave. It was out there to take advantage, I think. I just wasn't able to do that.
Q. Do these delays sometimes come maybe at the right time you said for your putter?
COLLIN MORIKAWA: Yeah, I hope so. Sometimes when you're playing well, you hope these delays don't happen, especially when the weather was just kind of -- it was no wind, it was perfect conditions. But at times like this when the putts aren't dropping, you're kind of excited for a little rain delay, a little rest, and get back out here.
