Q. What was that experience like first round as a first timer here at THE PLAYERS?

ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, I was excited to tee off. The golf course is amazing. It was a little bit windy today so it was tough. Hit a lot of quality shots, made some nice putts. I know I only hit nine greens, but I played well.

Q. Obviously not the finish that you would have liked making a bogey, but the three birdies prior to that, could you walk us through what was kind of working well for you with those birdies?

ADAM SVENSSON: 15, can't remember what hole 15 is now.

16, I hit a great drive, great 5-iron to 40, 50 feet and lagged it down there. Then the one on 17 I rolled in a left-to-right slider, probably 25, 30 feet. Yeah, that was it.

Q. Is this week kind of another one where you're feeling some good momentum with your game?

ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, I'm finally starting to hit the ball better. I've been struggling off the tee with my irons. So it's nice to start hitting it solid again. My putting's been great the last couple weeks. So just got to keep it rolling.

Q. You told me that you had been putting unbelievably good recently. How would you assess your putting today?

ADAM SVENSSON: Probably a B-plus today.

Q. Can you explain the 50 percent approach to green? Are you able to explain why you hit only nine greens?

ADAM SVENSSON: Well, I hit a bunch on the fringe too. So I had a putt on the fringe that was 15 feet. The stats don't say everything, but I hit it off the tee extremely well and a lot of close approach shots and able to capitalize on them.

Q. Were you looking at the leaderboard at all today, or is it too early in the tournament to kind of think about where you're at?

ADAM SVENSSON: No, I just, I didn't look. I saw Hayden Buckley made a hole in one. That was kind of it. 18 I glanced at it when I was on the putting green. But other than that, no.
