Quick Quotes
Q. This is your third appearance at the Women's Amateur Asia Pacific championship, and you you've played your first round here. How has it gone for you today?
JAYMIE NG: Today, it was pretty okay. I think it was quite windy today, but I managed to keep my cool and managed to make a lot of putts today. I'm quite happy because this is my home course, and I'm off to a good start.
Q. Have you brought knowledge from playing here before into today?
JAYMIE NG: Yeah, actually SICC has been really kind to me to practise here, so I practised about three to four times prior, and it's been really helpful.
Q. What are your favourite holes?
JAYMIE NG: For me, it would be the par-3, hole 4. It's very pretty and nice. I like it.
Q. Any that you find particularly challenging?
JAYMIE NG: I think the two holes back-to-back that are pretty long, I think it's 5 and 6. The fairway is quite narrow for those two holes, as well, and today it was quite windy. But I managed to par it so I'm quite satisfied.
Q. Obviously you're in Singapore, which is the host nation this week. Does that make you proud to bring this championship to Singapore and represent your country?
JAYMIE NG: Yeah, I feel very proud and honoured because to be able to play in front of all my friends and family really means a lot to me.
Q. Do you feel that adds sort of a lot of pressure to you, or do you feel that support helps you out there?
JAYMIE NG: I think it helps me more, and it's very comforting for them to cheer me on and see them out walking with me on the course.
Q. Do you have a goal for this weekend?
JAYMIE NG: I hope to finish in the top 10. I think that would be a great achievement for me.
Q. Do you have a plan on how to make the top 10?
JAYMIE NG: Yeah, I think I just have to manage well and not make any bogeys because I'm pretty sure people will drop shots out there. It's not easy. So I'm just trying to keep my cool and plot along.
