Q. What are your thoughts heading into the first game of the WBC?
ROBBIE GLENDINNING: Yeah, we feel very excited. We are raring to go. It's been a long time coming for this WBC. I think it's been six years since the last one, and we can't wait to get out there.
Q. Robbie, can you kind of explain what it means just for like an Australian kid to play in this tournament?
ROBBIE GLENDINNING: Yeah, it means everything, especially for me having a lot of good mentors coming up, the likes of Luke Hughes, Allan de San Miguel, people like that, watching them when I was a kid and in college and trying to become a baseballer.
Maybe I think it was 2009 when they went to México and had a good game. I remember watching that. Andrew Graham was on the team -- he's on the staff now, and he hit a home run. These memories in Australian baseball go a long way and we want to make an imprint on the history of Australian baseball. That's what we are all excited to do.
Q. What do you think is the strength of your team?
ROBBIE GLENDINNING: I think our strength of our lineup. We can really score a lot of runs in a hurry. I think 1 through 9, we have some strong hitters. We have banded together as a team really well, and I think our offense is pretty dangerous.
Q. What do you know about the Korean Team and how they play?
ROBBIE GLENDINNING: Yes, we definitely understand it pretty well. Warwick (Saupold) played over in the KBO. We respect that league. It's a great league. You have a lot of good players. We know Korea pretty well through scouting reports and we know that they are a really good team, and yeah, it should be a good game.
