Quick Quotes
Q. Another solid round today: Just evaluate your day.
LYDIA KO: Yeah, it was obviously a little bit difficult today with the wind being a little bit breezier. I'm saying that because it was breezy. It made it a little cooler out there, which was definitely an added bonus here in Thailand.
But we had a good group and our whole group did very well. I played strongly in the back nine, so hopefully that will give me good momentum to tomorrow.
Q. What did you adjust today with that wind out there? I know probably made the golf course play a touch different.
LYDIA KO: I think I tried to be really patient and kind of use the wind rather than fighting the wind, which is I think obviously a big key when it's super windy, when you're being smart and calculative rather than, okay, how can I fight this and beat it.
I think playing in windy conditions last week in Saudi, I felt like I wanted to almost channel a little bit of that. When it is breezy, some holes will be a little bit difficult. But then, you know, holes like the par-5s I knew would be reachable, where it might not be yesterday.
So, yeah, just play with what I get and just being patient.
Q. The last time you and Atthaya played together it was the opposite. It was your crowd and she was the outsider. Now it's the other way around. What was that like for you today?
LYDIA KO: Yeah, I said, oh, man, look at this. When she makes a putt it's going to rumble. Yeah, it was great to see a lot of people out here. I think this is probably -- I think this year in general we've had more crowds than usual, even from before COVID which is great to see.
Obviously Jeeno had a great year last, so a lot of people are out here to support her. I think the player that's leading right now is also Thai, so that just gets the Thai local fans excited.
Q. Finally, mindset chasing tomorrow?
LYDIA KO: Yeah, I'm just going to stick to my own game plan. I know that there are some birdie holes, as much as some more difficult ones, so just being patient, playing, sticking to my own game, and just see where that puts me at the end of the day.
