JARAVEE BOONCHANT: Thank you.

Q. Making your 2023 LPGA Tour debut as a rookie. Shoot 7-under out here in front of a hometown crowd. Describe what you're feeling right now.

JARAVEE BOONCHANT: Amazing obviously. I'm very happy with how I played today. I like how I hit my shot and how I give myself an opportunity to make birdie putts, to have a birdie putt, so I'm pretty happy with like the plan today.

Q. What really stood out? You had eight birdies, one bogey on the card. Anything really happen that stood out?

JARAVEE BOONCHANT: I think my putter really helped me today. There is a lot of putts that I didn't even expect it to go in, like the last one, and I'm very grateful for my putter right now.

Q. Had you played this course before?

JARAVEE BOONCHANT: Yes, I play in this event last year.

Q. Okay. How much did that experience help you get ready for this week as officially an LPGA Tour rookie?

JARAVEE BOONCHANT: Like last year was my first time playing, like for the LPGA with the crowds, so it's kind of give me like a heads up of how it's going to be. But obviously this year the fans, the crowds are bigger, but I think like last year really help.

Q. Quite a few Duke alums out here on tour. I know you're close to Gina. She caddied for you at Q-Series. Did you talk to her ahead of this week to ask any advice, or, hey I'm starting this year as a rookie, what would you tell me?

JARAVEE BOONCHANT: More like sending memes to each other every day and we just keep each other entertain. I think that's kind of help me ease out and feel more relaxed during the tournament today.

Q. What was the coolest moment for out here today? Like you said, the crowd being back out I'm sure things were loud out there.

JARAVEE BOONCHANT: Yeah, the coolest thing would be like on No. 18 and No. 9 with all the crowds and all the stadiums that people were on.

It was very nice to be playing in front of them and hear the cheerings and supporting.

Q. One day down, three to go. What's the mindset heading into the next three rounds?

JARAVEE BOONCHANT: I'm just going to try to enjoy the experience as much as possible and stick to the plan, and whatever come out, I'll just accept it and happy with it.
