Q. Here with Lilia Vu. 6-under today, 66. Nice finish today. What was it, five birdies in like seven or eight holes?

LILIA VU: Yeah, it was, yeah.

Q. So walk me through that stretch there.

LILIA VU: I think I didn't realize that I was playing pretty well until my 17th hole, which was hole No. 8 on the back nine. Yeah, I finished on the front nine.

So I had asked my caddie for my scorecard and I hadn't filled like seven holes and I was filling them in and I was like, whoa, did I birdie five holes already? I realized late. I basically didn't even know what I shot today until we were walking to the tent.

So I was just very focused and trying to just hit shots today. I felt like didn't really have the same -- like I wasn't very solid today. I was just trying to hit it on the green and try and make the putt basically.

Q. First time playing this event, correct?

LILIA VU: First time playing this event.

Q. What did you think of the golf course today as somebody that hasn't seen it before? I know a lot of people that played it last year are noticing the differences because it's a little firmer.

LILIA VU: Yeah, it's a little firmer. I noticed on some of the chips that I could hear the ball bounce. I like a firmer green so it's fun for me. I don't have to worry about the ball spinning off the green too much.

Yeah, having a good time. Just target golf out here.

Q. What did you work on in the off-season?

LILIA VU: A lot of low wedges. Last year I feel like I kind of lost a couple strokes from just like ripping wedges and ripping them off the green. I would land it right next to the hole, like divot is right next to the hole, and then it would be off the green and I would have to chip and lose a stroke there.

So worked on a low draw with wedges and they've been really helping me.

Q. Anything mentally? I feel like you came really close a couple times last year. Really had a very, very solid year. Is there anything you really learned that you're going to carry into '23?

LILIA VU: I think I ended my season pretty sour. I was really hard on myself in that I didn't meet all of my goals that I wanted to meet, and so it was really -- I mean, just looking back there is really no timeline. There is no time limit for me. I can -- just whenever it's going to work out it's going to work out.

So just play golf and have fun.

Q. Did that today. Next three days just what are you thinking?

LILIA VU: Just have a good time.
