Q. Very, very well played again out there today; a 66. In the end just short, but, wow, what an effort.

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, thank you very much. I overall played very solid after a rough first day in the wind. It was a bit of a struggle first day, but just tried to stay positive.

And honestly, my second day felt like the best day I swung it, so just really tried to build off that going into the weekend.

Q. And you kept that momentum going from yesterday. At one stage you were birdieing every other hole. I actually thought you were going to do it at one stage. 18 I guess slightly frustrating, but you couldn't really have done much more over the weekend.

LEXI THOMPSON: No, I really couldn't. Today I got off to another hot start, was like 6-under through 10 or something like that. It's hard to keep it going, but I was trying my best.

Yeah, would've loved to make that putt on 18, but I don't think it would matter with 21 being the winner. But just misread it. I did as much as I could as every day I tee it up. I gave 100%.

Q. And going forward this season, what a great confidence boost going ahead.

LEXI THOMPSON: Thank you. Yeah, this is definitely a good confidence booster to start off the season that way. I'll continue to build off it. I'll go home for a few weeks now and practice even harder knowing, kind of putting my work to the test this week and playing well. But there are a few things that I need to improve on and really build off.
