Media Day Press Conference
Q. There's a lot of chatter about your no-look shot being fake. The NBA challenge doesn't set you to challenge or being able to hit that shot again.
LUKA DONCIC: Yeah, I can do it. That was not fake.
Q. Not fake? All right. You need to hit it in the game later, the game tomorrow night.
LUKA DONCIC: I'll try it.
Q. You will be playing in Japan for the World Cup? It's against teams that consider basketball to be a religion. How excited are you to represent Slovenia in the upcoming World Cup in August?
LUKA DONCIC: Oh, very excited. Always try to support my country, you know, by playing, and I'll be there. I'm very excited.
Q. Shout out to your millions of Filipino fans, please.
LUKA DONCIC: Yeah, shout out to Filipino fans. I know there's going to be a lot of support there, so I'm very excited.
Q. Do you feel like this new generation of European stars... you, Giannis, Jokic... are in a position to be the face of the NBA moving forward? And if so, why?
LUKA DONCIC: I mean, maybe. Obviously, Giannis and Jokic are way ahead. They're two times MVP, but you have a lot of young players that are really good. There's a lot of potential in this league.
Q. Is being a face of the NBA a role that you would embrace, and if so, how would you try to grow the game around the world?
LUKA DONCIC: Just by playing the game, doing a lot of stuff off court for our people, but just keep doing what I'm doing.
Q. (No microphone.)
LUKA DONCIC: I mean, I don't really know what's going to be, but I think with Giannis and Jokic, like I said, they really put a step forward for the international basketball.
Q. If you disguised yourself as a high school player, how many points would you score in an American high school game?
LUKA DONCIC: How many minutes you play?
Q. Thirty-two.
LUKA DONCIC: I don't know. 30 (smiling). I don't know.
Q. With the draft right before the game, are you excited about that? Are you going to have fun with the guys that gets picked last?
LUKA DONCIC: I'm excited. But I think the stars go last, so there's not going to be a last pick, I think.
Q. (On being an All-Star.)
LUKA DONCIC: It's just fun. You know, I appreciate being here. Not a lot of people can say they're an All-Star multiple times, so I'm really excited to be here.
