Q. That must be disappointing, given the way you played fantastic golf throughout the week.

CAMERON YOUNG: Yeah, it's always disappointing but I think I played pretty well, and I'm playing a bunch the next few weeks. So I think I'm in a nice place moving forward.

Q. Just give us an appreciation of how well Abe played to beat you.

CAMERON YOUNG: He played some really nice golf. He just didn't make really any mistakes. I think he maybe made two bogeys this whole week, and with the wind blowing as hard as it was, that's, one, tremendous control of your golf ball, and two, I think just a lot of mental toughness.

There's just spots out there where you can make a bogey really quickly, and to only make two throughout the week was phenomenal.

Q. Is it frustrating for you, Cameron, since last year this is your eighth top three finish. Does that frustrate you?

CAMERON YOUNG: Yeah.

Q. What are your feelings?

CAMERON YOUNG: Of course it does. If I had to -- I feel like it's just -- I mean, I think having those finishes is just proof that I can win anywhere the more I put myself there.

I'm proud of all those finishes. There's nothing I've thrown away, I don't think. If one or two of them was a four-shot lead that I didn't finish off, that's a bummer, but I've been beat a lot. I haven't thrown any of them away.

Q. Exactly. Abe, Cam Smith, you know.

CAMERON YOUNG: Yeah, just I've had some scores that win golf tournaments a lot of times and they haven't. So one of these times I'll win one. I'm not too worried about it.

Q. And the fact you're playing so well when you come out of your comfort zone that is the U.S. soil, that must also be quite special for you. You came here first time, finished so well. The Open. I mean, there's so many examples.

CAMERON YOUNG: I think it's just a testament to where my game's at now. I feel like I'm in a good place. I've been playing some nice golf.

Like I said, I've got Waste Management next week and then Riviera and then Arnold Palmer and PLAYERS. I've got a really nice stretch of golf lined up.
