Quick Quotes
Q. Wasn't the way you wanted to finish today, but you've got to be pleased with being at the top of the leaderboard?
ABRAHAM ANCER: Definitely, yeah. I'm very pleased the way I've been rolling it and hitting it off the tee. Also my iron play has been pretty dang good, so I'm happy with my game. Having that bogey on 17 from a very scorable spot kind of burns a little bit and dropping the first shot of the tournament, but extremely happy with my play and the way my body feels, the way my swing feels. Yeah, extremely happy.
Q. Good ball control out there today, especially with distance control. Ball-striking-wise when it gets blustery like this, what are some of the keys?
ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, you've just got to trust your starting lines out here, and I feel like the wind really moves the ball here, so you've got to trust it. You've got to trust that you're going to be aiming pretty far away from the pin, and you've just got to hit a good shot at one little spot, pick your target and just flush one right at that.
I feel like I did that pretty good today, and when I didn't, I didn't get myself into too bad of spots. Yeah, I was able to have pretty good distance control these two days.
Q. Moving on to the business end of the golf tournament, you're most likely in the final group. What's going to be the pre-round routine for you?
ABRAHAM ANCER: Same thing I did today, sleep as much as I can, which is not going to be really that much, maybe wake up around 6:00 or 7:00 a.m., have some coffee, a little workout at the gym, then catch up with some emails and stuff, some work I've got to do back home, something like that. Then come out here two hours before, do another little warmup, stretching, and chip and putt, hit some balls and get after it.
