Q. How would you assess the round out there today?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: It was pretty good. I had a rough start making bogey on 1. That was rough.

But after that I hit a lot of good iron shots and gave myself a lot of looks. I didn't really make that many putts. I think I only missed one or two fairways today. I hit a lot of fairways. I gave myself a lot of looks. It was kind of stress-free.

Q. How did the game feel after a little time off?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: A lot better. Making some good strides. I feel like this was one of the days where -- I mean, Spyglass is no joke, but I feel like shooting 2-under with not really getting that much out of the game, that's kind of how I used to play a little bit more. Just kind of fairways and greens and pick up a couple of birdies and not make that many bogeys. I feel like I did a good job of that today.

Q. How difficult did those conditions get the last four, five holes?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, I'm glad we kind of got today out of the way. Because if it's going to be some bad weather late in the week I think this course is by far the toughest. The greens are just so small and they're pretty firm. So when it's blowing like this, you're just hoping to hit it on the green and most of the time you're not. Then you just, it's just a scramblefest if it's like this. So just completely changes the course.

Q. A couple years ago you went viral just because you talked about how life on TOUR has changed your life and how now you can get guac with your Chipotle. Now you're playing with the Chipotle CEO. Can you talk about how that story has kind of come full circle?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, it was just kind of a fun deal. Obviously I was a big fan of Chipotle in college. Didn't necessarily have the funds to splurge on the guac and double meat. So, yeah, it's nice to be able to do that now.

Obviously playing with the man himself. So trying to get that gold card by the end of the week. That's the goal. So, no, we're having a blast.

Q. How did you two meet?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: It was just completely random. I didn't have a really a plan to play this week. So when I just looked on the list and saw Brian's name on there I figured that, yeah, that would be kind of funny. So that, yeah, that's the story.

Q. What's your go to Chipotle order?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: I get rice, chicken or beef, and fajitas, some corn, lettuce and guac. So pretty boring, but it tastes pretty good.

Q. How has the order changed since college to now or has it?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: Well sometimes -- like I used to be really hungry before. So I would get like guac, double meat and double rice and just send the whole bowl and make it a tower basically.

But now I don't eat as much. Before I would get, definitely not get guac and, yeah, just like chicken or something. Just try to make it 7.50 I think it ended up being my order. So, yeah, trying to save some money.

Q. But he's buying, right, after this?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: We'll see about that. I'm trying to lobby my way in there.
