Quick Quotes
Q. How different is it coming into this year than in the past?
BROOKS KOEPKA: Not really different. Just trying to play. I usually get off to a slow start. Just need some rounds to really get going to where I feel like I play my best, which is usually March. Get some rounds under my belt.
That's what this is for. That's what next week is for. I'll have about 17 rounds before Augusta, which is about right.
Q. Obviously you had a good time here last year. How is it to be back?
BROOKS KOEPKA: It's good. The golf course is probably in better shape than it was last year. That helps. Morning is nice. Good memories here. So I like it.
Q. Have you been traditionally a slow starter in every new season? Does it take a few tournaments?
BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, it takes me a while. Usually March is kind of where I start to feel like I've got it.
Q. Last year too?
BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, usually it's a good time to kick it into gear.
Q. Is that any different now that you have the extra time off? Do you expect to get into gear slightly sooner?
BROOKS KOEPKA: No, I mean, I'm just trying to knock rust off. That's all it kind of really is. Kind of play your way into a rhythm. You're still playing -- it's the same thing. Nothing's changed. You play your whole year around the majors and just try to make sure you're playing well for those.
