Quick Quotes
Q. Abraham, wonderful playing today, especially with the wind picking up on the back nine, to be bogey free and to have seven birdies on top of that as well. Your overall thoughts with your round.
ABRAHAM ANCER: Obviously very happy. I felt like I was in control for the most part of the golf ball. Took advantage at the beginning where there was very little wind.
And on the turn it started pumping pretty good. Once it starts getting that way, you try to hold on, and being able to make a couple birdies coming in was definitely nice.
Q. On this golf course you have a very good track record. You played here 15 times before. I believe you are 23-under par. What is it about this golf course that fits your game very well?
ABRAHAM ANCER: I feel like you have to be very accurate. It's a golf course you can get in a lot of trouble if you're not in the fairway. I feel like you don't necessarily have to hit it that far, but definitely being in the fairway is a premium.
Like in the past I've been pretty good at keeping the ball in play. I think that's the big key.
Q. Last week in Dubai, despite missing the cut, you played a good last round, four birdies and a bogey. Did you pick up anything from there that you brought over to this week?
ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, didn't play my best. Obviously I hadn't played a tournament in a long time. So I didn't want to play obviously that way, but I was expecting -- I was just going out there to see where my game was at. I was practicing pretty heavily the month before to the tournament, but it's always different once you tee it up in a tournament.
Yeah, my first round wasn't my best, but after that, I felt really good and tried to bring that feeling over here.
Q. Great playing today. All the best to you the rest of the week.
ABRAHAM ANCER: Appreciate it. Thank you so much.
