THE MODERATOR: Petra, just to begin with in English, what made Ana such a difficult opponent today?

PETRA KVITOVA: Yeah, I think it's a good question even for me. But, well, I felt that she didn't miss at all. She hit all the shots back to me, defending very well, moving very well, playing pretty fast as well.

It was really tough to find something how I could make it. I tried some slices, drop shots, but she was playing very, very well today. So, yeah, she deserved to win for sure. It was a good match for sure, but yeah...

THE MODERATOR: And what about your reflections of the summer here? Overall the different tournaments you've played in, your game, how do you feel?

PETRA KVITOVA: Well, I think today I had a pretty good start to the year. The whole month was great tennis for myself. Even today I felt it's probably what I can do only.

So, yeah, I think, of course, it's disappointing to lose, but otherwise I think that whole month I showed good tennis, so that's what I should see in couple of days and work back on the court and trying to improve everything what I can.

Yeah, I think that my serve could help me a little bit more today for sure. That's what I could make a different a little bit.
