Q. An awesome performance, putting it bluntly but how does it feel you're tied for the need in a Rolex Series Event?

MICHAEL THORBJORNSEN: It feels good. Didn't have the best round yesterday and then date before, felt like I missed a lot of putts out there. Thought I had a pretty good game plan but just stuck to it today. I actually made some putts.

Q. Can't ignore the back nine, your front nine, by teeing off on the 10th. You've teed up on a big stage before and you've played in the U.S. Open as well. For you, do you feel the nerves out there or are you able to switch it around in the moment?

MICHAEL THORBJORNSEN: Yeah, I enjoy playing professional golf a lot and I'm still an amateur but just the golf courses that we play, the crowd out there, it's what I'm dreaming of ever since I was five or six years old. It just feels good to be out there.

Q. Ludvig, a fellow amateur, also playing in this tournament is currently world No. 1, you're world No. 2. Is there that healthy bit of competition or are you just solely focused on the tournament at hand?

MICHAEL THORBJORNSEN: I mean, always you want to beat your fellow ams. But I definitely feel like Ludvig and I push each other. In college we played a lot of golf recently together the past year, and I'm happy to see he's doing well and I hope he's happy to see I'm doing well and we're pushing each other.
