Q. Derek, had a really good round today; moved up the leaderboard. Tell us a little bit about your day.

DEREK LOWE: I love the way you're talking. I actually went the other way, but thank you. Everything was going good. I had a bad last three holes. First time I ever met Charley Hull, and she was fabulous.

Played with Mardy Fish who just -- I don't know what he shot, but just played great. It's golf. You go out there and you compete and try to have fun. Wasn't the greatest day, but as they say, we're at halftime, so we got two more days to go and I look forward to it.

Q. What are you looking forward to tomorrow?

DEREK LOWE: Trying to hit more greens. I'm not that good of a chipper. I keep missing greens left and right. Again, I said this yesterday, kudos to Lake Nona. The course is fabulous.

I think anyone, you can bring anyone up here and everybody is going to say the same thing. I wish I played better, but you can't. You get one chance to hit a good shot. If you don't, find it and hit it again.

Q. Out you in a good spot heading into the weekend.

DEREK LOWE: I am a long way. I think when people look at our scoring system, like you may look at points and say, hey, you're only eight points behind, but technically if you look at it you're eight strokes behind because that's kind of how the points go.

But, yeah, I said the other day, if you do your best, honest to God, if you can come in top 5 in any of these events you're pretty happy with it, to be honest with you.

So we'll see. Probably going to need Mardy to struggle a little bit and hope we catch fire one of these nine holes, and away we go.

Q. He really uses the driver's as a weapon. What's it like playing alongside him?

DEREK LOWE: Yeah, he does. Yeah, so I've been fortunate to play with him numerous times, here or Tahoe, and he does. He loves his driver. Hits a lefty fade and keeps it in play.

He hit a lot of great irons. I mean, just -- I don't want to say looked like a pro, but sure looked like one today. Had a lot of the great controlled iron shots. You know, I'm always rooting for people, so happy to see it. I'm not one of those guys hoping someone plays bad to help me out. It's an enjoyable round of golf when someone is playing great and is a good friend of mine, so was great pairing and I was happy for him.
