Quick Quotes
Q. A truly dominating performance in the singles, how do you reflect on that?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Obviously played well in the singles but winning as a team, didn't do that. So it's, I mean, obviously a decent week personally but it's all about winning as a team and that's what I was worried about but unfortunately it wasn't to be.
Q. What's the one thing you'll take away from this week as a positive?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: That the work I've been doing over the winter is looking decent. Tee-to-green has been solid. Today it wasn't as good off the tee but it's been good all week. Yeah, I've been happy this week. I've been laughing. I've been crying sometimes in the team room. It's been a great laugh this week. Very serious. I took this serious but no, I know when I'm playing my best golf, I'm always smiling.
Q. How much is that down to the captain and the way people have taken this tournament as a serious tournament?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah, I think the environment that's created in the team room is massive. It's been good. Tommy has been brilliant, the odd message here and there. But yeah, just gutted not to win it. It is what is it.
Q. The goal to win the team in September is always there but how much has this week fueled the ambition to get there now?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Obviously it's massive, but that's what my goal; nothing has changed from the end of the year. All eyes are on Ryder Cup and it's no different. I know I can't just look at that, because if I don't make that team the season is a failure. I've got many targets to reach. Just play golf. Go and enjoy yourself and enjoy traveling the world again and what will be will be. If I play good golf, then who knows, I'll have more of a chance.
