Q. Hard fought half-point. How does that feel?

MATT WALLACE: Yeah, looking at the leaderboard, that last group for us, if it sneaks in for us we'll go in tied. It's a good first day. Obviously want more but the way Callum and I played, we are excited to go tomorrow.

Q. Incredible match, you had eight birdies and they had nine. What was it like out there for you watching and being part of it?

CALLUM SHINKWIN: Matt and I said at the start birdies would be halves pretty much today. Only a few holes won with birdies, and it was a fantastic game on both sides.

Q. How valuable are experiences like this?

MATT WALLACE: It's my first one, and it's amazing to be here and experience all of that. I felt the nerves coming down the stretch there at the end being alongside my mate who I've played alongside for years. We were playing at Moorpark only a couple years ago it feels like, and now we are out here together representing this great nation. It's been fun, and hopefully we can do more.
