THE MODERATOR: Congratulations, Aga. You're through to the city final tomorrow. What did you make of your players' performances today?
CAPTAIN RADWANSKA: Well, for sure it was a tough day, especially that the last singles match was very tight. In the mixed doubles, you never know. So we were really pleased that Magda finished that match and very well and closed it out, yeah.
THE MODERATOR: Questions.
Q. Congratulations. A lot of the talk leading into this of course was with you and Iga, understandably so, of course. I'm curious how impressed you've been with Hubi this week.
CAPTAIN RADWANSKA: Well, he really showed some good tennis. Today was also a tricky match. Actually it was very fun to watch someone that I admire for so many years, Stan, playing great tennis. You could really see how he thinks on court and how beautiful his tennis. It's not only hitting the ball, it's just all the game that he was showing today.
Well, the key was in that match that Hubi was very focused on the important moments. I think that was the key. Two or three points, he was really focused on those big shots, and that's why he won in two sets.
But otherwise, all matches went very well so far.
Q. Of course you have seen Hubi, I'm sure, for years now, but what have you sort of learned about him or his game this week?
CAPTAIN RADWANSKA: Well, first of all, he's very professional. He's really focused on the game. He's doing everything off the court to play the best tennis. I admire him that in the really young age he become a model for all the young kids how to do everything to play the best tennis, how to eat, how to stretch, how to practice, how to be focused all the time, to really prepare for the match 100%.
That's something that you're not gonna see very often in a young age. He did that since I know him. When you're teenager, sometimes in your mind there are so many different things. He was always focused on tennis. That's why he's here with almost top 10, playing one of the best tennis in the world.
It's good to see him playing better and better tennis, and I really hope he can do even better than that.
Q. Does his game remind you of anyone from when you played?
CAPTAIN RADWANSKA: Well, I think, you know, he's a great server, that's for sure. He can play all day long. He's physically and mentally strong. You know, I think there is always something to improve, right? It's the sport of tennis. You always work on something and you want to be better and play better. But he's such a hard worker, so I think, you know, he's gonna have a lot of years on tour. He's really taking care of his body, as well, very well.
I think we're gonna see him for so long on the court. I really believe he can do everything.
Q. You had one tough tie today. Another one tomorrow. Can you look ahead now to playing Italy.
CAPTAIN RADWANSKA: Well, that's for sure is going to be a tough one, as well. I'm really looking forward to Hubi's match against Berrettini. I think that's going to be the best of tomorrow's matches I think. We will see after all matches, but I think that's the one that I really waiting for and we'll see.
Well, all those matches are tough. I think in this format you can pretty much expect everything. That's sport, so anything can happen, especially when you have four singles matches and then the mixed doubles. So it's always exciting till the end.
