Q. You're from New Orleans. Obviously it is a big program out there in New Orleans. Was there a big wakeup moment like, damn, I'm in college football now? Was there a moment like that?

SEDRICK VAN PRAN: Yeah.

Q. When was it?

SEDRICK VAN PRAN: I think it was Zion. For the first time in my life, I'm feeling my back. And I'm like that's not supposed to happen. What is that? I think he caught me on a pass rush route, bad technique. He literally just touched my shoulder, and I toppled over.

It was bad. I was so embarrassed. I couldn't sleep for like a week. It was bad.

Q. I saw Coach Searels here on media day. He's continuing to coach you up. It doesn't stop, does it?

SEDRICK VAN PRAN: No. Always talking. I was texting him last night about a few things to make sure we're on the same page. He was kind of talking to me about a few things that we wanted to make sure we're good on.

Q. What's your pregame routine?

SEDRICK VAN PRAN: Pregame day? Actual game day?

Q. Yes, when you wake up on game day.

SEDRICK VAN PRAN: I usually wake up, use the restroom, put on some gospel to ease my mind a little bit. Usually I read the bible before I leave in the morning. Then as we get closer to game time, I am kind of listening to some music to get me in the right mindset.

Q. Everyone wants to know, Atlanta or Athens?

SEDRICK VAN PRAN: I'm going to be honest, I'm going to go Athens just for the simple fact I'm from New Orleans. Everything in New Orleans at most is 15 minutes away. I hate driving. If I don't have to come to Atlanta, I'm not.

My people can tell you, if there's anything going on in Atlanta, I probably won't be there if I have to drive. So I'm definitely going Athens.

Q. You like Chick-Fil-A or Zaxby's?

SEDRICK VAN PRAN: Chick-Fil-A for sure. Definitely. I prefer Cane's, just being honest. Maybe it's a Louisiana boy thing, but Raising Cane's definitely does it for me.

Q. What's your favorite city to play in?

SEDRICK VAN PRAN: That's a good question. I'll say I really enjoy away games. I really do enjoy those, but probably Jacksonville for the Georgia-Florida game.
