Quick Quotes
Q. So done with LPGA Q-Series 2022. How did it feel walking off that last green?
SOFIA GARCIA: It was a peaceful one. I had a really good -- I wasn't hitting very well the few last holes. I was kind of suffering through the last stretch.
But I had a good swing on 18. I had a look for birdie, so that's kind of -- I was in the right place on the green, because the greens are tricky.
It was a peaceful walk walking to 18, and just trying to make that birdie and just putting it really close, and just best feeling ever to just go, okay, thank you.
I don't think it has hit me yet, but definitely kind of peace after this marathon that we have.
Q. Obviously eight rounds, a lot of golf. What did you learn about yourself as a player out here the past two weeks that you'll take with you for next season?
SOFIA GARCIA: I think I struggle a bit on the first day. I had a rough start. I think we were joking with my caddie, okay, you've been hitting really well. This is -- literally you did everything today, everything wrong and right, so this is the worst you can get.
That puts things into perspective. You know, even though when things are not working out, you might have a bad break, just trusting your own game and that it will come together. If not, there is always tomorrow.
Q. And how does it feel to be able to say that you're now an LPGA Tour player?
SOFIA GARCIA: It's a weird. It's something that you dream as a kid, and, you know, I think it's going to take some days.
But this is like a lifetime work. You know, you work for it, but now it's like you're an LPGA player. So definitely has a sweet sound.
