Quick Quotes
ALINE KRAUTER:
Q. Here with Aline Krauter who crushed the golf course today. 10-under, 62 out here is unreal. Nobody saw that. Walk me through your day.
ALINE KRAUTER: I mean, it was great from the beginning. On the course at least. There was a couple delays this morning which was sort of nerve-racking, I would say, because I was sitting in the car, walk back to putt, sat back in the car, and then that back and forth sort of different to most days I would say.
Then I got off to a great start right on 10 and then, yeah, just all-around great from there.
Q. Walk me through some of those birdies. Looked like you had a lot back to back on both nines.
ALINE KRAUTER: Yeah, for sure. I think I had a lot of momentum out there and I just took that to my advantage. I hit a couple really close, tapped them in, and then I made a couple really good putts.
So, yeah.
Q. You're no stranger -- obviously played a few LPGA Tour events this year; played at Stanford. I know pressure can be high when you're on that good of a golf team. To fire that kind of number with that kind of pressure, what it does that mean to you, what does that tell you where your game is right now?
ALINE KRAUTER: I think my game is great, yeah, for sure. It's definitely better than it was last week. I think last week was a little more up and down and fluctuating, so to see come together a little bit this week is great. There is obviously three rounds left, but I'm super excited for the next three rounds, yeah.
Q. You told me it was like you were playing blindfolded out there, but to come to a golf course that you hadn't really seen before and not really familiar with, what did you see around the golf course today that really suited your eye?
ALINE KRAUTER: Well, I think it's super important to hit small areas on the green, and I think I did that super well today. I actually really like that. I like focusing on one spot and hitting it right there rather than like, oh, let's aim middle of the green.
Yeah, I think that really suits my eye. Yeah, it was good off the tee today, too, so I really liked the tee shots.
Q. You're a solid player; we know this; like I said, played a few LPGA Tour events. Is there any of that experience that you learned something earlier this year that you're carrying with you this week? Because obviously you belong out here.
ALINE KRAUTER: Yeah, I think for sure patience is the biggest thing. I think sometimes it's hard for me to stay patient, especially last week. Nothing dropped last week.
And then but to see everything pretty much drop today, except for one probably, is great.
So, yeah, for sure, patience.
Q. And then finally, just mindset, three rounds left, a lot of golf still out there. You're pretty comfortable at this point. Top 5 after a round like today. What are you thinking?
ALINE KRAUTER: Yeah, for sure I'm super confident going into the next three rounds, but I think I'm going to try and keep everything the same. Not going to try and change anything, try and hit it closer, or do any of that. Just playing my game.
Q. You were just telling me off camera you're heading too another Q-School next week. How are you managing your energy? Three straight weeks of at least six rounds a week; that's a lot of golf.
ALINE KRAUTER: It's definitely a lot of golf and it's been a little draining, but I'm having a lot of fun so I feel like that always helps.
And then my mom is here, which is great. And my brother will be there next week. I have a great caddie on the bag. He always makes it super fun. So U think having fun.
And then after the round I usually just head back to the room and rest rather than trying to fix something that doesn't need fixed.
