Q. Coach, in the third series of the game you made the change at quarterback and you didn't look back. How did Cade Klubnik change this game for your team?

DABO SWINNEY: Yeah, well, we went into the game the same way we were going to play them on the third series. We hoped DJ would start off well, he didn't. So Cade came in and did a heck of a job. I'm really proud of him.

You know, the reality is we wouldn't have won the Atlantic and we wouldn't be here tonight without DJ, and we wouldn't have won the ACC Championship without Cade.

Listen, it's awesome to see this young man grow up, and we tried to make the change at Notre Dame, wasn't quite ready, and DJ bounced back against the wall and played well against Louisville and Miami, but tonight was an opportunity for him, and he was ready.

He's worked his butt off all year. Great to see him play, guys making plays. How about ol' Cole Turner? We've been kinda holding him, and I told him we were going to need him to win the championship, and I didn't know it was going to turn out like that.

At the end of the day, man, it's a blessing to be here seven out of eight years. I'm happy for our fans. I'm really proud of our team, and we don't take it for granted. We're not entitled to be here. These kids earn their way here and they earned the game tonight.

Congratulations to North Carolina. I love Coach Brown, but tonight was our night.
