Quick Quotes
Q. Did you play college golf? If so, where?
KIM KAUFMAN: Yes, Texas Tech University.
Q. Perfect. What years?
KIM KAUFMAN: '09 to '13.
Q. Perfect. And then what is your career-best finish or your biggest accomplishment in the game of golf?
KIM KAUFMAN: I have three Epson wins, but I did finish second on LPGA in China, so however you weight those. (Laughter.)
I mean, both of those were obviously great.
Q. And then do you know what your career-best round is?
KIM KAUFMAN: 8-under at the Tour Championship in Naples, 2017 maybe.
Q. Why did you decide to pursue professional golf as a career, or why do you keep playing professional golf?
KIM KAUFMAN: That's what I ask myself all the time. (Laughter.)
I think because I still like to get up and go work at it. You know, like I feel like I have stuff I can still do out there. I'm not done. I want to (indiscernible) for the LPGA obviously.
So I still love to get up and go work at it. I still have that desire. I'm not dreading it, so I think I keep going as long as I have that.
Q. And then what are your hobbies outside of golf? How do you keep yourself entertained off the golf course?
KIM KAUFMAN: Yoga, reading. I'm a big reader. Just love being home. We watch a lot of the sports, college basketball. Texas Tech has been playing good the last few years, so we watch a lot of sports. We're sports nuts.
Q. And then do you have a favorite sport other than golf?
KIM KAUFMAN: It would be college basketball, yeah.
Q. And then how about a favorite book?
KIM KAUFMAN: Oh, gosh. So many. Can I only list one?
Q. You can list however many you want.
KIM KAUFMAN: Favorite book would probably be -- can I text you that?
Q. Yes. Do you have a favorite author?
KIM KAUFMAN: I have several. I'm going to think about it and then I'm going to text you my favorite book.
Q. Yes, perfect. And then last question: If you weren't a professional golfer, what do you think you would be doing?
KIM KAUFMAN: I would've went to law school. Whether or not I liked being a lawyer I don't know, but I definitely probably would've been a lawyer.
You know, a lot of people go to law school and don't practice, but that was definitely my plan.
