Quick Quotes
THE MODERATOR: Here with Lee6 after her second round here at the CME Group Tour Championship. Take us through your round today. I know you started really high. Hit some lows. So just take us through what was going well and what were some of the challenges.
JEONGEUN LEE6: Yeah, I'm very happy with my game today. It was a little bit windy, so it's tricky to control the distance. I try to focus control height, ball height, and putting speed on the green.
It was good. So I made a lot of birdies, so I'm very, yeah, happy. Yeah.
THE MODERATOR: What were some of the most memorable birdies you remember from your round today?
JEONGEUN LEE6: Number 15. 15 birdie, right? Yeah. 15 birdie, a chip-in. I missed on the green, but, yeah, I made it. Yeah.
THE MODERATOR: What club did you use? How far was the chip-in, do you think?
JEONGEUN LEE6: Maybe 15 meters.
THE MODERATOR: It was windy yesterday too as well, so how were you sort of managing that challenge differently today compared to yesterday?
JEONGEUN LEE6: Yesterday I played in the morning. A little bit chilly. Distance a little bit short, so I focused on just iron shot control.
But today a little bit warmer than yesterday. So a little bit easier than yesterday, yeah.
THE MODERATOR: What do you think you're going to have to do tomorrow to sort of set yourself up into a good position going into the last round and hopefully getting a win?
JEONGEUN LEE6: Yeah, it's very good position. I have two days left. I think it's going to windy tomorrow and on Sunday.
THE MODERATOR: Yeah.
JEONGEUN LEE6: I want to focus on one shot at a time, and just I'm going to try my best.
Q. You got through the course in 21 putts, so I just want to ask what were you seeing out there on the greens that was so much better than you were doing yesterday?
JEONGEUN LEE6: 21? Oh, 21 putts. Today?
Q. Uh-huh.
JEONGEUN LEE6: That's why I missed a lot of greens today (laughing). Green speeds not too much fast, but we have to focus on grain on the putting green. It's very important.
So I talked a lot with my caddie for grain on the green, yeah.
Q. And then you haven't won since 2019. What would getting a win here mean to you with $2 million on the line?
JEONGEUN LEE6: I think if I win this tournament, it's very huge honor. I really want to win, but it's not easy. Just I want to focus on just process, not result.
