DANIIL MEDVEDEV: Hello, everyone.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Do you believe in numbers?

DANIIL MEDVEDEV: Depends if it's statistics or not. Statistics, yeah, I should believe.

Q. Since the loss against Rafa at the Australian Open final, you lost seven matches in a row against top 10. Is it something that bother you, that you're thinking about? Last year was quite different.

DANIIL MEDVEDEV: The thing is that in this case I believe in numbers. It means I was not good enough. It means I was not good enough, and I have to be better.

Mentally, I don't care. I don't care if I play a top 10 or not. But tennis-wise it's tougher to play a top-10 player. That means I have to play better tennis against these guys. That's what I'm going to try to do next time because there is no other choice.

Q. Would you say the game tonight was a tennis defeat or a mental defeat? You had the break in the third and couldn't compete as you wanted in the tiebreak.

DANIIL MEDVEDEV: I don't know. Terrible to not serve it out, especially on such fast court. I lost my break in the first game of the match, which is never good but can happen. You need some time to get into the match.

Then I didn't face a break point until I got a break in the third. Still managed to win this game after breaking. I didn't really feel much nerves. I just had to play better, serve better.

Yeah, I don't know what to say else. I had to win the match, but I didn't. So I have to do better next time. There is no other choice.
