THE MODERATOR: Here with Hyo Joo Kim after her first round at the CME Group Tour Championship. Really good round. You're near the top of the leader board. What was working so well for you today?

HYO JOO KIM: So today my driver was good. I put a lot of the balls on the green, and there were a lot of chances today, and I made a lot of those chances, so I think that's why I had a good round today.

THE MODERATOR: A lot of birdies on the front nine. Do you remember any of those or any memorable birdies that you want to share with us?

HYO JOO KIM: The most memorable birdie was on hole 9. I think that I felt like the best among all the birdies because I thought it was actually a very difficult hole, but the wind was blowing from behind. So I felt like it was less difficult compared to when I played it in the practice round.

Q. How would you summarize the year so far for you?

HYO JOO KIM: Of course, there is a lot of disappointment, but I feel like I've been doing well. Obviously, this week is not over, and I feel like the answer to this question will change based on how I do this week.

Q. What would you do with $2 million?

HYO JOO KIM: Saving. I don't know what else I can do (laughing).

Q. Last question from me. What are some of your goals for tomorrow? What do you hope to do the same as today and accomplish tomorrow?

HYO JOO KIM: So I have a good feel for the driver compared to last week. Today I felt like everything was going right for me, so I hope that today continues on for the next three days as well.
