THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.
Q. Dawid, perhaps you could sum up your thoughts on your team's performances tonight and the week in general?
CAPTAIN CELT: Yes, it was very tough two days for us. That's what we said before tournament. We promised that we're gonna fight from first ball to the last, and we did it. I'm proud of my team. We left on court everything we had.
Yeah, we had a very tough draw. We sit in very tough draw. We played against United States and Czech Republic. Complete teams. They have very good singles players and they have also very dangerous doubles teams.
So it's a little shame. We lost unfortunately, but I'm proud how we fought.
Q. Magda, I know you must be disappointed with the overall result, but you must be proud of your singles performances this weekend. What do you think it is about playing for your country that brings out this fighting spirit?
MAGDA LINETTE: Yeah, I mean, it's bittersweet because obviously I beat players I haven't really beaten before. So that was good. Then I couldn't bring another point later. So definitely bittersweet.
I think in general the whole vibe that we are having, I think that's something special with our team that we are really a team. We just don't come here, just play our singles matches. We just like to spend time together. We have really good time. We play for each other. So I think you can see that, as well, on court, that we really feel it and we feel the support.
Q. You have been playing for the Fed Cup, now Billie Jean King Cup team, since 2011. Can you talk about what it means to you and the team to reach the finals for the first time?
MAGDA LINETTE: It means a lot. I think especially at the beginning when I was the one really not doing my job, you know, as the second player, and Agnieszka was saving everything.
So I'm really happy that I'm much more valuable now. It took me so long to come to this position, so I'm really happy that I can bring that. I can bring very important points. It really took a long path and a lot of effort, so it's really something I was looking forward to, to be accounted for.
Q. Katarzyna, how was the experience for you tonight playing in front of quite a good crowd?
KATARZYNA KAWA: It's a great experience for me. It's been my first match in the finals. There was a lot of emotions and a bit of expectations because we really wanted to win this match. It was deciding doubles.
I was trying to give my best and give as much energy as I can to this team. I can say that I did that.
Q. Dawid, finally, you have spoken earlier in the year how important it was this team has grown over many years. The fact you didn't quite make it through this year, does that give you even more incentive to go all the way next year?
CAPTAIN CELT: It was very good experience for us. We were lucky in the tournaments, so we know how it is in the finals right now. I hope we are gonna win. I imagine Poland will come back here again like a stronger team, and we will win more than that year.
