THE MODERATOR: What happened today? Did you not find your tennis? Your opponent played better than expected? A mix of both?

KAROLINA PLISKOVA: No, I mean, I expected she's going to play well because she won yesterday a tough match. We just played recently in New York. I was expecting something like this.

I think at first it was quite big, because it was very close. We were both holding serves. I think there was a big game, 5-4, I still could go back to 5-All.

Maybe like in a tiebreak, if I'm a bit more lucky, I thought the first set was quite good level for both of us. Yeah, I think she played really well. She didn't really give me much mistakes from the baseline, and there was not much I could do.

THE MODERATOR: Do you think you can still do better in any field for your next match, anything that you feel like you need to improve?

KAROLINA PLISKOVA: No, I mean, it's too early to say, because so far we are in doubles now, so I think we are gonna speak later. Of course there is many things to improve. If I play, if I don't play, of course I'm going to support. We need to speak about tomorrow, definitely.
