Q. Round of 4-under to start the week here. How did you find the afternoon, slightly windier conditions?
CHIARA NOJA: Lovely. They weren't as bad as the Saudi International at the start of the year. That was pretty extreme. Today it was playable. We had sort of the same wind we had in the practice round so we knew what we were doing. Had a good day. Played some okay golf. Good golf at times. Holed some putts and we were pretty happy with where we are.
Q. What would you say the strongest part of your game was today?
CHIARA NOJA: Nothing that necessarily stood out. Any putting was pretty consistent. I think I could rely on that, so my putting potentially.
Q. And your first time being a team captain, how are you finding it?
CHIARA NOJA: I thought it was really fun because usually I'm the one being liked pep-talked to, and today I got to do a bit of pep talking. I thought the girls were super nice and I'm happy with my team. So we had a good atmosphere out there I think. Definitely a lot of numbers to keep track of. I was on it with Chris trying to remind me to do stuff because otherwise it would have gotten out of hand. I was like, Sophie, please just be patient with me. But we got it done. No mistakes. We're good. Proud of my maths.
Q. And speaking of maths, subjects at school, you mentioned the other day, you did mocks?
CHIARA NOJA: I'm actually doing my mocks this week.
Q. How's that going?
CHIARA NOJA: I have to catch them up once I get back. I'm absolutely terrified because I brought the wrong books for half my subjects, so the goal is to win this and not need school anymore.
Q. What are you expecting tomorrow, obviously going out in the morning?
CHIARA NOJA: It will be a little calmer I think, hopefully, and we'll try and take more advantage. Just try and commit to every shot and play some good golf and hole some putts.
