THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.
Q. Elisabetta, unlucky. That was an extraordinary match. Can you try and sum up how you're feeling right now?
ELISABETTA COCCIARETTO: I'm a little bit sad about the result, because of course I had the match point, and it was like 7-6 in the third. For sure it was a great battle. My opponent played well in the deciding points.
To be with T-shirt of my nation is honor. I tried to do my best and to do something more. I'm happy about how I start and then I came back, but for sure I'm a little bit sad about the result, for sure.
Q. What did you do to turn the match around from a set and a break down?
ELISABETTA COCCIARETTO: I tried to play my tennis more aggressive, not to stay more near the court, to make like pressure. Yes, this.
Q. Is there anything, looking back now, that you think you could have done differently in those final few games?
ELISABETTA COCCIARETTO: Yes. I think she played more offensive game, aggressive game, and then me, I played a little bit outside the court. So I think I had to play more near the court and to play more aggressive. That's what I think I had to do.
Q. You have won so many matches recently on the tour. Your captain has shown real confidence in you to pick you. How are you feeling at the moment generally about your tennis and looking ahead to next year even? What are some of your ambitions?
ELISABETTA COCCIARETTO: I think I played better in like the last month. For sure I improved my level, for sure, I think. And I played a lot of tough matches. Always three hours and more (smiling).
So right now I'm a little bit tired, but for sure I have to be happy about my season. This keep me happy and also I think I can improve. So I will take all the lessons I have in these matches, and for sure I will do my best.
