Q. Bad luck. Did you really try not to play after the rain? Or what was the discussion that was going through?
SHAKIB AL HASAN: Do we have any option?
Q. No, no option. That's the reason. You did try to convince them?
SHAKIB AL HASAN: Convince whom?
Q. Umpire and, of course, Rohit Sharma?
SHAKIB AL HASAN: Do I have the ability to convince the umpire?
Q. So then you were discussing something about the rivers of Bangladesh?
SHAKIB AL HASAN: Did we discuss something else about the rivers and their role in Bangladesh?
Q. What were you talking. If you could kindly explain.
SHAKIB AL HASAN: Now you're asking the right questions. So the umpire called both the captains and telling us what's the target, what was the playing rules, how many overs we will be playing, what will be the target.
Q. And you all accepted it?
SHAKIB AL HASAN: Yes.
Q. On hindsight, if you can tell us, was the condition suitable to play? Because what we saw is Litton slipping twice, and it actually changed the course of the game. Should the umpire have waited for at least 15 more minutes, let the conditions --
SHAKIB AL HASAN: I mean, that's the decision that the umpire makes. We don't make that decision. So we are there to play cricket. Both teams wanted to play a full 20 overs each.
Unfortunately, rain interrupted. But I'm happy the way both the teams played. I think it played on the right spirit. Both team played really well. We were so close, like the 2016 World Cup, but wasn't close enough.
Q. Just wondering, what were the conditions like when you got back out there? Was it slippery out in the middle?
SHAKIB AL HASAN: It was a little slippery. The amount of rain it had, it was a little slippery. Normally that suits batting side rather than bowling side. We should not make that an excuse.
Q. Especially at Adelaide, Virat Kohli has scored well, runs in T20, do you have anything planned to stop him (indiscernible)?
SHAKIB AL HASAN: Yes, that's why we bowled Taskin. I thought personally Taskin had the best opportunity against him to get him out. First the bat -- when Taskin was bowling unfortunately it wasn't his luck that he aced it and got out.
And the way, I think, Virat Kohli at this moment is playing, every team will plan something. Depends when it comes on, if it doesn't. If it doesn't come on, the way he's batting he can win the match single-handedly.
Q. You spoke about lack of experience in your bowlers, and you also spoke about the last two World Cup contests almost gettable. In that context how do you put (indiscernible) and his over?
SHAKIB AL HASAN: In yesterday's press conference I said he's a great prospect for India. He can swing the ball both ways. There are hardly any bowlers who can swing the ball both ways. He's a great prospect for India. I hope he'll continue playing for India and do well for them.
Q. During the rain break, what was the emotion in the dressing room like? What were you discussing? What kind of talk was going on? We saw you were very animated at that time. And then when you come out, you see one batter slips twice in first two bowls and he gets run out because of that. Then when you say you guys played some shorts in panic, was that an emotional reaction? Or was that lack of experience?
SHAKIB AL HASAN: Combination of both, I would say. But I think in the dressing room, we are relaxed. We knew what's coming our way. When we got the target that we had to score 84 runs in nine overs, it will take that. You have 10 wickets in hand, you'll take that.
And obviously Bhuvne was almost done. And you take that run and you take that challenge and you would look to chase that down. Unfortunately, we couldn't do it.
As you mentioned it will be a combination of both, lack of experience sometimes and also panicking because we don't play too many close games. So sometimes when we are in that situation, we don't know how to do it. So that will be the thing.
Q. (Indiscernible)?
SHAKIB AL HASAN: No one talked about that it's fair or not fair. I don't think in our dressing room, no one talked about it. We wanted to play. We wanted to win. We tried our best. Everyone tried their best, and unfortunately we came short.
Q. You had a word with him, what happened? Could you talk us through that moment?
SHAKIB AL HASAN: Not much to talk about, to be honest. I was just take checking with the umpire, whether it was the second bounce or no ball or free hit or not.
