Quick Quotes
Q. It's your first time playing in the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific; how are you feeling?
ARIANNA LAU: I'm feeling really excited. This is my first time playing in this event, and I'm just really looking forward to playing with all the brilliant players and gaining that experience of being on such a big stage and playing such a high level against Asia's top players. I'm just really going to embrace the challenge this week and just do my best.
Q. You've just played your practice round here at Siam Country Club Waterside Course. What are your first impressions of the course?
ARIANNA LAU: I feel like the course is really challenging. It's quite windy. The course is in really good condition, but the greens are quite tricky. There's a lot of slope, and it's really fast. During the tournament that's what I'm going to be careful of.
I really like the course. It's going to be a really good challenge. Every hole is different as far as driving off the tee and where to aim the approach shot. I'm really looking forward to playing.
Q. There's obviously a lot at stake this week with the exemptions for the winner. What does it mean to you to have the opportunity to potentially play in those majors, and what are your expectations this week?
ARIANNA LAU: For me, expectations is just going out and playing my own game because you never know what's going to happen. Obviously it's my first time playing in this event, so I'm just going to do my best and see how well I can perform on this stage. I'm feeling really grateful for this opportunity to compete here.
Yeah, I'm just going to play my best.
