Quick Quotes
Q. Lei, welcome to the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific here in Thailand. How are you finding it so far?
LEI YE: Hot. It's my first time in Thailand. Right now the Bay Area is cooling down a little bit, so it was really hot today, a bit windy too.
Q. You've just played your practice round here at Siam Country Club Waterside course. What are your first impressions of the course?
LEI YE: I really like it. There's a lot of water, but I think overall I really like it and the set-up's really good.
I think the greens are a little bit tricky. There's some big slopes, but got to have the right strategy and know where to leave the ball.
Q. And how are you feeling coming into this week?
LEI YE: Right now I am very jet lagged. So hopefully I'll be over that by Wednesday. But otherwise, it felt pretty good out there.
Just going to fine tune a couple things and also do a little extra chipping around the greens. The grass is a little bit more grainy than I'm used to.
Q. There's a lot at stake this week obviously. What does that mean to you to have those opportunities?
LEI YE: I think it's always amazing to have these opportunities, but you can't let that get in your head or anything. It's just like any other tournament. I mean, it's obviously on a bigger stage against some of the best players in Asia, but I think just approaching it the same way, trying to focus on each shot.
