BMW LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP

October 22, 2022

Andrea Lee

Busan, South Korea

LPGA International Busan

Quick Quotes

Q. Andrea, another day in the final group, another solid day. Just evaluate your third round.

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, it was a frustrating out there today. Had three bogeys, three three-putts. That was a little upsetting. I'm really proud of the way I hung in there and made a couple of birdies down the stretch and made a big one on 17, so I think that was really important in terms of my momentum going into tomorrow.

But overall I'm really just pleased with how I played.

Q. I know you're a player that holds yourself to a pretty high standard, so when things like three-putts are happening, how do you stay patient?

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, just got to take deep breaths. It's going to happen out here. The greens are firm and fast and the downhill putts are really slick. Everyone is going to have trouble out here at some point.

I've just got to tell myself to stick to my game plan and just focus on what I'm doing, and hopefully the outcome will be good.

Q. You obviously got that win; I did the math today, it'll be 35 days tomorrow since you got that last win. What did you learn about yourself in that moment that you're going to apply here tomorrow?

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I learned just to keep grinding and to really stay patient, especially that back nine in Portland. I stayed super patient and made a lot of birdies coming down the stretch. It wasn't like I was chasing them, chasing after them.

I'm going to do the same thing tomorrow and just keep my head down, stay really patient. I'm playing with Atthaya and Lydia, who are top-5-in-the-world players. I'm really excited and really looking forward to that pairing. Yeah, just going to keep doing what I'm doing, and we'll see what happens.

Q. What would it mean to get the second win here in front of extended family and family you haven't seen in a while?

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, it would be extremely special. I think I'm going to see my grandpa maybe finally tomorrow. My parents have been out here supporting me, rooting for me, giving me snacks every five holes.

Yeah, it would mean the world to get a second win here in Korea, but I'm not going to try to think too much ahead and just going to, like I said, stay really patient, and we'll see what happens.
