Quick Quotes
Q. Ariya, what a day. Walk me through that ace on 17.
ARIYA JUTANUGARN: 17, I think I had 171 to the pin if I'm not wrong, and I had to hit like a full 7. After I hit, I hit a bit behind so I mis-hit, and I thought I was going to be way short, and somehow it kept rolling, and when I looked again, it went to the hole.
Q. To be able to get that BMW, as well, with that hole-in-one, is that the first time you've won a car, and how many aces have you had?
ARIYA JUTANUGARN: I want to say this is my third hole-in-one in a tournament, and I won the car before like 10 years ago.
Q. With that ace, you get to donate $20,000 to St. Jude, part of the CME Group Cares Challenge. What does that mean to be able to make that donation?
ARIYA JUTANUGARN: Yeah, it just really feels so great, feel like thank you for doing that. Thank you so much.
Q. Let's talk about the rest of your day. You went 5-under in three holes, 7-under today. A really solid round. What did you find today that was different than the first two days?
ARIYA JUTANUGARN: I would say today I got pretty lucky. I just be patient all week because this course is pretty tough to walk, pretty tough to play. I just keep telling myself make sure you finish 18 holes every day because this course is so tough.
On 15 I got pretty lucky. I hit 9-iron, hit Alison Lee's ball and it went pretty close to the hole and then made the putt.
Q. You're going to be in contention heading into Sunday here at BMW. How excited are you to be there, and what's the mindset heading into tomorrow with really nothing to lose at this point?
ARIYA JUTANUGARN: Yeah, I would say I really enjoy playing golf here because really challenging golf course, challenging to walk, and tomorrow there's just no plan, just keep having fun, just keep having good commit.
