Q. Tough game in the end. What made it so difficult out there on that surface?
SCOTT EDWARDS: Yeah, I think it was just a little bit up-and-down. Obviously the outfield was super slow there at the end. We probably got a little bit carried away trying to hit boundaries, where they showed us in the first innings that it's quite hard to get those boundaries, so you've just got to be busy. Yeah, so we got a little bit caught up in that middle period and sort of consolidated a little bit at the end.
Q. In terms of the planning you've put into this tournament and having seen the outcome of Namibia and Sri Lanka, it suggests you might have to play this surface quite differently. Is it a good lesson that you're going to have to adjust on the fly as a young group, inexperienced in tournament play; play the situation that's in front of you rather than getting caught up in your plan?
SCOTT EDWARDS: Yeah, definitely. I think it's one of those things, you don't want to get ahead of yourselves. We obviously had a good powerplay there. We were 40 off the first four overs or so, and then probably just got a little bit carried away thinking it was just going to be easy when yeah, we obviously knew from the first game and from the first innings of our game that it wasn't like that.
Q. What about the performance of Tim Pringle? Can you tell us about him and how well he bowled and how well he batted?
SCOTT EDWARDS: Yeah, for a guy that's only 19 years old, he shows a lot of maturity. He has done all summer. Today is just another example of the quality cricketer that he is.
Q. Can you give us any insights into how confident he was when you were batting with him and how he bowled, how they were coming out?
SCOTT EDWARDS: Yeah, he's bowling -- you can always rely on him. His four overs are always going to be the same. He'll get a couple of wickets. He'll tie them down. He knows his role perfectly there. Then with his batting, he's a powerful man.
Didn't quite get all the powerful shots he'd like today, but after his first couple of balls he was pretty calm and collected.
Q. What were the discussions you had with the guys you were out there with after what you had seen in terms of making sure you iced the game?
SCOTT EDWARDS: Yeah, it was just about taking it as deep as we could. We felt like if we could keep it at that run a ball, they obviously had to bowl out a couple of their better bowlers early, so we knew at the back end we'd have opportunities to score if we needed to.
Q. With Namibia winning, does it change your mindset? I know you've got a one-game-at-a-time mindset for this team, but does it change anything within the group or do you just focus on the next assignment?
SCOTT EDWARDS: Not really. For us it's awesome for associate cricket that Namibia got up, and then for us since we play them on Tuesday, it's how can we win that game and go from there.
Q. What are the lessons you take away now having played on that surface?
SCOTT EDWARDS: Yeah, we've definitely taken a few things from it, and we'll speak about it when we get a chance to later. But yeah, there's definitely a certain way that you've got to play on that sort of surface. It's not going to be free-flowing cricket a lot of the time I don't think.
Q. You had a huge group of friends and family there supporting you, braving the cold. What does that feel like playing in a World Cup in front of your family like that?
SCOTT EDWARDS: Yeah, it was awesome. Obviously you can hear every word they say pretty much. Some of the chants that were going on were great. It sort of just spurs you on. It was awesome to have.
