Q. Lexi, no blemishes, you must have felt great out there?

LEXI THOMPSON: It was overall a solid day. Couldn't have asked for better weather compared to yesterday. It was a great day out there. Overall had a lot of fun with my team as well.

Q. What gives you the sense that you can overpower this course?

LEXI THOMPSON: I don't know if, yeah, I shot 7-under today. There's a few gettable holes out there but at the same time there's a few tough holes especially with some pin locations they can put. It is a little softer due to the rain yesterday but it's a tough track and it can get windy out there because there's nothing blocking it so you just have to take advantage of the easier holes.

Q. What kind of confidence are you playing with right now?

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, I do have confidence, of course, going into every day. You have to have it. But just going into the week, I know the team aspect of it, too, is always so much fun. So just coming out here playing relaxed golf and being part of a team is always a lot of fun. You know, at the same time we are playing for individual pride as well. But at the same time just coming out here and trying to enjoy the sport tomorrow.

Q. Huge stage, world-class field chasing you. What are your expectations overnight?

LEXI THOMPSON: Overnight? I'm sure I have to come out and play my A Game. But all I can focus on is my game and my emotions, so I'll just try and take that into tomorrow.
