Q. How are you feeling after round one?

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, I feel pretty good. Wasn't the easiest of conditions. We had about an hour of drizzle and some pretty hard wind out there. But the course is tough, so it was a good challenge. But we had a lot of fun out there and just enjoyed the company.

Q. How did the wind and rain play into that, did it change strategy?

LEXI THOMPSON: Just lower ball flight and a few different clubs on a few of those holes. Just trying to get center contact as best as you can out there and take a little bit of spin off your shots. It's tough, you just have to trust your lines out there and just over-club or under-club due to the wind.

Q. How is the team dynamic today?

LEXI THOMPSON: Team dynamic was great. We all got along so well, and Bryce was just a character. We had so much fun out there laughing, and we all hit some good shots. And with the wind and everything, there was going to be some iffy ones but we just had a great time with each other.

Q. What's it like for you having a pro athlete from another sport in your world? What is that like for you?

LEXI THOMPSON: Well, it's great. I said this earlier. It's great to see other athletes in our sport and just to see how competitive they still are in something that they don't do professionally. But I think that's just the competitive drive in all of us and it's great to see them out here and just enjoying the time but at the same time wanting to do really well.

Q. Lastly, what are you looking forward to the next couple days?

LEXI THOMPSON: Better weather first off. But no, just enjoying the whole team format. The Aramco team series does a great job with these events. Golf needs a few more team events just to change it up a little bit, but to also have an amateur by your side and give them a little insight of what we go throughout here and how we prep and how competitive it is. I think it's such a great idea. I'm just going to enjoy every bit of it, and playing with Kelly and Laura was a lot of fun as well.
