THE MODERATOR: First question for Yu.
Q. Yu, they seemed to be swinging right away. How did you think that the night went for you overall?
YU DARVISH: I didn't feel too bad going into the game. Just, you know, they find a way to stay in the box, right, like fouling off pitches and all that. I thought it was typical Dodgers baseball, offense.
Q. I think you and everybody else thought that you had a strike on Muncy, strike 3. Can you talk about your thoughts there? Segal, he did not respond to your asking where it was at, and then you did not let it get away from you.
YU DARVISH: I thought they were strikes. But we won today, so who cares?
Q. I had read that you had a ridiculous streak of going six or more innings prior to today, and you didn't get that far, but the bullpen took care of you. So can you talk a little bit about the faith you have in them?
YU DARVISH: Yeah, you look at Suarez. I mean, towards the end of the season he was pitching really good. You know, in that situation him coming into the game, you know, I really thought that he was going to do it. I thought he was going to shut them down. That's exactly what he did.
Not just Suarez, but Nick along with Josh Hader as well. I mean, those guys have been really good. It's just enjoyable to watch them.
Q. You have not used PitchCom before this. I assume that had to do with the Dodgers. How difficult was that to do, and were there special buttons for all of your pitches? How did that go?
YU DARVISH: I thought it actually worked good. You know, the pace of the pitches were pretty good, so I thought all in all it worked pretty good.
Q. Whose idea was that? When did you guys decide to do that?
YU DARVISH: No, it was my idea. I mentioned about it after the previous game that I wanted to go ahead and use it. You know, in those type of situations you want to go along with a good pace, and that was kind of the idea behind it. I think it worked out pretty good.
Q. You threw over three times to Betts before making a pitch, and then you went very quickly to home plate, and Nola made a perfect throw. You've had a little trouble. Do you feel like you've gotten better holding runners?
YU DARVISH: Yeah. Like you said, I was being especially careful there. Just holding the ball a little longer, doing different stuff there, and I may be giving up a couple of stolen bases. I just wanted to hold that runner right there.
Q. How much do you think that this win changed the series?
YU DARVISH: Hard to say right now. We can talk all about it maybe after this series.
Q. After the home run to Turner in the third, there was that long Freeman at-bat, 4th inning. Obviously, it seemed like kind of a tough inning. How pleased were you that you were able to kind of get through five innings under pretty rough conditions here?
YU DARVISH: Like I said earlier, I wasn't feeling too bad going into the game. Luckily, the home runs were all solo home runs, so I thought that it was nothing to be, I guess, negative about.
We're in a playoff game, and I think bottom line is if we win the game, it's all good. That's what happened today. All in all, I think it was a good day for us.
