Q. Do you anticipate being available tonight after going two yesterday?
SERANTHONY DOMINGUEZ: Yeah, I'll be ready.
Q. What clicked for you over the last two appearances in St. Louis when you struck out Goldschmidt and Arenado? Yesterday you go through the top six of their batting order, it appears your confidence is in a great place. Did something click mechanically with your arm or anything to get you going?
SERANTHONY DOMINGUEZ: It's a lot of different things. It's about pitching. It's a lot of things that not many people know. It's a lot of things that I've got to be on the same page, gotta be on time with my arm, got to be ready to throw the ball, to make your release point, the place that you need to throw the ball. And I've been working a lot, and I think I find what was wrong with me.
Q. What about just trusting your stuff and your health?
SERANTHONY DOMINGUEZ: Yes, I think that's the most important thing right now. I'm pitching like really confident right now after those two outings, I feel way better, and my confidence goes up. I feel ready to go.
Q. Were you worried when you came back from the IL or how much did you worry when you came back from the IL that you would get hurt again?
SERANTHONY DOMINGUEZ: Yeah, that's something that's going to be in your mind after you get hurt, no matter if you feel 100 percent, you will always have this in your mind, like, what if it happens again and what can I do to prevent that. At the end of the day, you've got to do your job and trust and believe in yourself.
Q. You mentioned you think you fixed or found what you were doing wrong, what was wrong. Could you be more specific about what you found and correct it?
SERANTHONY DOMINGUEZ: I think I go, when I make my delivery to the plate, I feel like my upper body is going forward a little bit. Right now I've been working and watching the video and trying to find the way to get back to the point where I was before. And right now I feel really confident and I feel like my body is on track.
Q. Since Thomps took over, he really hasn't named a closer, but rather use you guys based on matchups and things like that. How did guys feel about that in terms of like not having a designated closer, and do you like the idea of just knowing what pocket of the lineup you might face?
SERANTHONY DOMINGUEZ: At the end of the day, you've just got to do your job when they call your name. Whenever they do, they have a reason why. We don't have to ask for it. We've just got to do your job when they call you up.
Q. How would you feel about the ninth inning? And has anybody said anything to you about maybe handling the ninth inning going forward?
SERANTHONY DOMINGUEZ: I feel really good. Like I say I have to do my job. They named me in the ninth, first, second, third inning, no matter what. I just tell my mind, tell myself you've got to do your job no matter the situation.
Q. Your role hasn't changed as far as you know, right?
SERANTHONY DOMINGUEZ: Just do my job. That's all I have to do.
Q. As you kind of worked your way back and maybe your confidence wasn't super high, what teammates were the best at kind of trying to pump you up and get your confidence back?
SERANTHONY DOMINGUEZ: I think every one of the teammates, we all feel like a team because everybody was supporting me and trying to tell me something to make me feel better or trying to find a way with me.
A lot of the guys talk to me, you've got to do this or you look different in these situations. I've been talking a lot with Ranger too. He's smart. He helps me a lot.
Q. What has Ranger said, or what did he say?
SERANTHONY DOMINGUEZ: Basically it's the thing that we know. But sometimes something that you know, when somebody reminds you, it's way better to know that we're on the same page.
He said you've just got to believe in yourself and do your job and throw the ball. If you feel healthy, like Lundy told me yesterday, if you feel healthy just throw the ball.
Q. When you walked off the mound on Saturday, after striking out Goldschmidt and Arenado, did you think to yourself, I'm back?
SERANTHONY DOMINGUEZ: Yes, that's what I tell myself. Yeah, I'm back. I feel like I am.
