Quick Quotes
Q. So first of all, great round, amazing. How does it feel walking off that last green?
JULIE AIME: Feels good. I'm actually relieved. It was a test today obviously when you try to stay calm, stay in the present.
So I actually think I did pretty good. It was just a relief for me to walk off and be done with it.
Q. 9-under bogey-free round; eagle in there; lots of birdies. What was going through your mind on the last couple holes down the stretch?
JULIE AIME: Honestly I was impressed how calm I stayed. It was my first week without a caddie, so I kind of had to focus on my routine. It was just a different rhythm, so I think that helped me stay in my bubble. I was like, okay, I have more things to do, and it gave me a bigger to-do list and took my focus away from a the score.
So I think that worked out pretty good.
Q. And then can you talk me through the eagle?
JULIE AIME: Well, I hit -- I drove it really good today. I was down the middle of the fairway and I had -- well in yards I had about 200 yards left for the pin, back pin. The wind was helping a little, so I went for the shorter club. I hit an unbelievable shot, but it just landed short and stayed like short -- like on the green but two feet on.
So I had, I don't know, like a 15 meter putt or something to hit the pin, to be honest. It was coming in a little hot. There might be a little dent on the flag, but it worked out.
I took it. I was excited.
Q. Awesome. And then one stroke back from the lead right now. How does that feel going into tomorrow? There is two days left of golf to be played, but puts you in a really good position away from the cut line. Just two solid days left.
JULIE AIME: Yeah, it's good to not worry about the cut and just try to be chasing. That's kind of what I like. Yes, of course I would've loved to be in the lead now, but it's like you said, just so much golf left to play. You obviously never know what can happen. I'm just going to try to stay in my routine and shot after shot.
