EPSON TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP

October 6, 2022

Linnea Strom

Daytona Beach, Florida, USA

LPGA International, Jones Course

Quick Quotes

Q. So a 6-under round. How did it feel walking off that last green?

LINNEA STROM: Good. No, I'm very happy with how I played today. Only had one bogey. I do feel like I still left some shots out there. Overall I putted good. The front nine I putted really good.

So I did hole more putts than maybe you expected in a normal round, so actually I don't complain. Yeah, it felt good. I was hitting my driver pretty good, which is one thing that I have been working on the last couple weeks.

So I'm very happy about that.

Q. And then obviously a hurricane just came through the state of Florida. A lot went on to prepare the course for you guys to play this week.

LINNEA STROM: Yes.

Q. How do you think the course played considering the circumstances?

LINNEA STROM: I mean, to be honest, if we didn't know there was a hurricane I don't think we would've noticed. I think the course is really good. Greens are rolling great, better than what they did when I came here on Tuesday.

So I think they been doing a very good job. I mean, fairways aren't really that wet. Only some areas in the rough where you're walking where you feel it's a bit softer.

Other than that, I think they've done a great job. You don't notice it. I'm just very happy that we were able to come here and play and didn't have to push it up or move it to a different state.

Q. And then you mentioned one bogey on your round. How do you stay positive and kind of get yourself back up from that and just keep going?

LINNEA STROM: Yeah, I mean, obviously after that bogey I was a little bit upset, but then I just told myself to try and make birdie on the next hole. I actually did, so I think that was -- that helped me kind of a little bit with the momentum.

And after that, I didn't really hole that many more birdie putts until the last hole. So, yeah, I mean -- yeah, overall it's a fun course in that way because there are so many birdies out there.

Q. And then I know we talked about last week you said you want one more win on the Epson Tour before going back to the LPGA. How do you prepare for the next three days of golf after a great round like that?

LINNEA STROM: I think just continue to do what I did today. Don't change anything in my practice. Still going to do some drills on the range and hit some putts on the green.

Yeah, and then just try and enjoy the last event of the season. Just going to enjoy it.
