Q. What's double trouble brewing?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: So me and my sister started doing home brew at home, Dorsey and Lindsey got us our first kit, and we've been off to the races.
Q. What's the time frame of making a beer?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: Usually about four to six weeks.
Q. How did you guys come up with double trouble?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: Well, I have a twin sister, and we thought, hey, it sounds pretty cool.
Q. Is it good?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: Oh, yeah.
Q. Where can we buy it?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: You cannot buy it, but I know somebody that can supply you some.
Q. It's your hobby along with your garden and avocado tree?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: Correct, a little garden, a little beer, drink a little bourbon.
Q. No wonder you're excited to go home.
KRISTIN COLEMAN: California living at its finest.
Q. How long have you been doing it for?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: Two years now.
Q. Fun facts about beer? I don't know anything about it.
KRISTIN COLEMAN: Go on something about the glasses. You guys really like to get in on that stuff. There's certain glasses for each kind of beer, so depending on the shape of the glasses, better display the flavor of the beer and the foam.
Q. What kind of shapes?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: Like the Hefeweizen is like a long skinny one like a champagne flute glass, it'll keep the bubbles in.
Q. Same with hard liquor, too, though, right?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: Kind of. Those are like the Glencairn more like brandy snifter mini shapes.
Q. Besides your own beer, what kind of beer do you like to drink?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: I like to drink a little bit of everything. My go to is more of an amber.
Q. If you had one beer for the rest of your life, what would it be?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: That's too hard. Maybe like an Alaskan amber ale.
Q. What makes a good beer and what makes a bad beer?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: I prefer malty, so a little bit like sweater, malty, bready. I don't love hoppy, so more kind of along the lines of IPAs, not up my alley. But yeah, nice, malty, crisp finish. That's what I like.
Q. Is that what you're going to be thinking about when you're playing this week?
KRISTIN COLEMAN: Sunday night I'll be thinking about the beer to come, yeah.
Q. Celebrations or sorrows.
KRISTIN COLEMAN: Sunday or Friday.
